Mr. Knoops-Hamburger is on the list of lawyers allowed to act at the International Criminal Court in The Hague. She is working as a legal assistant in the international legal team led by Prof. Knoops concerning the defendant Blé Goudé who was fully acquitted in 2021, and currently in the case of defendant Patrice Ngaissona. Previously, she worked as a legal assistant for the Rwanda Tribunal (ICTR) and the Yugoslavia Tribunal (ICTY) and as co-counsel for the Special Court for Sierra Leone.
Mr. Carry Knoops is Director of the Knoops’ Innocence Project, President of the Miles 4 Justice Foundation, Chair of the Membership Committee of the European Innocence Network and also a member of the Advisory Board of Sunsglow Global Training in the Rule of Law in New York. In 2020 she was a member of the Executive Council of the International Criminal Court’s Bar Association.
Ms. Knoops-Hamburger first specialized in administrative, medical and labor law cases, after which she specialized fully in national and international criminal law. She also has extensive experience in conducting review proceedings.
Together with her colleague Prof. Knoops, she has been giving guest lectures at the University of Amsterdam since 2017 and recently published their book called OPERATION RAAF.

Mr. Knoops-Hamburger has registered the following main (and sub) areas of law in the Register of Jurisdictions of the Dutch Bar Association:
– Criminal law (international criminal law, military criminal law)
– General practice
Pursuant to this registration, she is required to obtain ten points per year in each registered main area of law in accordance with the standards of the Dutch Bar Association.
