Mr. Debbie Markusse has been working as a legal assistant at Knoops’ advocaten since September 2019. She is researcher and coordinator of the Knoops’ Innocence Project. She has experience in the field of criminal review proceedings. Her studies focused on both criminal review law as well as legal psychology and the interpretation of forensic evidence. She also assists the attorneys in several communal cases.
Mr. Markusse did an internship at the International Justice Mission Chennai (India) and worked as a student community worker at Match Maastricht. She also did an internship at Acda & Vanoka advocaten where she gained experience in communal criminal cases and review cases. She is currently completing her second master’s degree in Forensics, Criminology and Justice.
