Ruth van Es has worked for Knoops’ advocaten since January 2019. It focuses on both cases within common criminal law and special criminal law. She has extensive experience in fraud cases of special investigation services such as the Fiscal Intelligence and Investigation Service (FIOD).
During her studies, Mr. Van Es worked as a legal assistant at the Public Prosecutor’s Office Amsterdam, where she gained experience in handling criminal cases on appeal. She was also active at the legal aid centre of Leiden.
After graduation, Mr. Van Es worked for five years as a senior lawyer at the Public Prosecutor’s Office where she specialised in fraud and deprivation cases. Before making the switch to the legal profession, she worked at the District Public Prosecutor’s Office of Oost-Brabant where she dealt with communal criminal cases.
