Mr R. (Robin) Ravensbergen (MSc) works at Knoops’ advocaten as a senior advisor. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Amsterdam (UVA) and a master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam. He specializes in administrative security issues and the protection of human rights in modern democracies.
In recent years, he has focused on issues at the intersection of politics and law. His work centers on themes such as the tensions between law and political interests, the independence of the rule of law, and the safeguarding of human rights in contemporary societies.
Robin co-authored the book Als de rechtsstaat faalt (“When the Rule of Law Fails”) with Professor Knoops, published on May 6, 2025. The book highlights the vulnerabilities of the rule of law, using concrete examples from national and international cases.
